Hunger Games Blog Reflection

As the novel, "The Hunger Games" has progressed, we see the main character, Katniss Everdeen, make an extremely difficult decision - to step in for her sister Prim at the reaping.  Doing this means much uncertainty for Katniss, and based on past Games', she knows that it may even mean death for her.

This immense sacrifice demonstrates her love for her sister, as well as her need to protect her at all costs.  Would you be willing t make this kind of sacrifice and take the place of someone else, even if you knew it might mean serious consequences for you?  For whom would you make this sacrifice? Are there any people for whom you might not make this kind of sacrifice?

Be honest and open about your thoughts.  Expand on some of the scenarios in which you would do it for sure, and others in which you would really have to think long and hard about it.

Craft your response carefully, and be sure to edit your writing before you make your final post.  In addition to your original post, you need to respond thoughtfully to three (3) other posts, reflecting on the things that other students have written, and making a connection to your own ideas or opinions.
