Three
weeks, doing a project of your choice. You have complete freedom of
what to do, whether you want to build something or write and illustrate a
children's book.. the possibilities are endless. You also had the
option of doing your project with classmates, or just by yourself.
What I decided to do for my 20% project was write and illustrate a children's picture book, but before i decided to do the for my project me, Sam and Taylor came together because we all knew we worked very well together and we knew we could do a great job on it, I really enjoyed this project not only that it was free choice but that we chose something we knew we would all enjoy doing and spending my majority of the next three weeks doing. After discussing many ideas and topics for our book we finally settled on a book about a mouse and two monsters. We also had to think of the main idea to our story, the problem, setting, and the solution, eventually we decided to do it about a mouse and two monsters, the monsters bully the mouse with his little toy car he had lost at the park.. Then we started writing the book , it took us a few days but we eventually got it done. Now it was time to start illustrating, it was a hard time trying to decided what to draw for each page, it took us a long time to illustrate (longer then expected) so this is was we did the majority of the three weeks. After we did the final touches on the drawing and the whole book before we had to laminate it and attach the pages together.
If you had to improve things about this project i would probably say, put a small boundary on it just to make sure all students are keeping on task, and able to get there project for sure done in time also when you begin a projects like this were all choices are yours make sure you make good choices with your time for sure... but also make sure what you're doing is going to be used in your project because we had made a few puppets that we never ended up using. I liked how we were able to pick classmates to join us doing our 20% projects, for me i feel as tho i work better in a small group or with a partner.
Nice response!! Next time make sure your grammar is correct! Also nice structure.
ReplyDeleteGreat structure and good use of the steps. Don't forget to use capitols for next time in your response.

ReplyDeleteI liked that you had it in a nice structure and i think that you had a great time doing this project
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the response, it was structured really well and I liked how you went through your process in getting to the final product. Something that you could work on is your grammar :) Good Job !!!!
ReplyDeleteMacie, you make some good suggestions for the kinds of things that I could consider altering for future projects. This time, with no actual deadlines except for the final due date, it was interesting to see how people approached their work responsibilities. Your group did a great job staying on task, and you did a good job of capturing the essence of your project in your blog post. Well done overall. MrB
